Our highlights of 2020:
- Sailed from Japan to Canada for 7 weeks.
- Released Nasu, Moogle, Firth, Gyo, Circa & Nespaint.
- Participated in the Merveilles Hypercard Jam.
- Wrote Donsol in 6502 assembly.
- Wrote almost no Javascript and no Python.
- Started growing food on the boat.
- Rebuilt personal websites, GrimGrains and Wiktopher in C99.
- Favorite books this year: The Long Way by Bernard Moitessier, Finite and Infinite Games by James P. Carse, Dracula by Bram Stoker and Sailing The Farm by Ken Neumeyer.
In 2020, we sought isolation and nearness to nature. We found it in Minamiise, a small, quiet, rural town in Japan, then we found it again on our 2 month-long crossing to Canada. This sail was a struggle, but we also learned a lot, we'll carry memories (and scars) of this event with us for a long, long time.
What awaits us in 2021? Our goals are simple, we hope to see our families again, in better circumstances, we want to continue to live deliberately, while making art and tools.
