A summer of little to no internet

Hey everyone,

We are currently anchored in Lyall Harbour off Saturna Island in British Columbia, Canada.

We've been getting a lot of emails because we haven't sent the newsletter for the past 2 months. The newsletter isn't cancelled. The reason it was not sent out was because our internet has been very terrible, all summer long.

We have continued to push updates on our personal log, but loading interfaces for anything else was impossible (including Patreon). We apologize for the confusion! We will combine updates from June and July with the August newsletter.

What have the rabbits been up to this summer? We've been bumming around Desolation Sound, discovering some local cruising grounds. It is beautiful up there. See some of the posts we've written on our travels:

Grace Harbour

Melanie Cove
Cortes Island (Von Donop)
Tenedos Bay
Sturt Bay (not desolation, still pretty)

During our time there we pushed a lot of updates to Adelie, our little slideshow program.

We wrote a small guide. It is now possible to use it to make simple games!

Devine has been working on a little OS called Potato, designed to fill the gaps where a host device might not have an underlying file system, like handheld consoles.

Rekka made a video on image optimization for Green Hacks, a project by the Photographer's Gallery.

We're still making lacto-fermented vegetables, and sprouting. This summer, we were able to test our gravity water filter while in Grace Harbour. We filtered stream water with much success (we have photos on the Grace Harbour page).

Otherwise, we push updates to all of our projects... all the time. We don't push updates to Patreon as often as we ought to (we always prioritize our website), but it is possible to see our updates on our log (we have RSS).

Our intermittent internet connection makes for unpredictable release patterns, as always, we appreciate your patience and support :).

Cheers,
Rek & Devine
