Looking ahead for otherworlderotic!

Hi everyone,

There's a content roadmap below - make sure you don't miss it even if you skip my longwinded update :)

What's up?

I love writing these stories. So much in fact, I'm some changes to how I write and release that will result in me releasing more content at a higher quality.

It's almost the one-year otherworlderotic anniversary, and it's a great time for reflection. Here's what I've learned this year!

  1. Sometimes I have to rush to hit the weekly release. I don't like that. I'm not creating at my best when I do!
  2. I do a lot more discovering-as-I-write than I thought. You'll notice that both Laura the Bold and Josephine on Fire find their feet about halfway into the story. That's not a bad thing, it just means I need time to edit!
  3. Weekly releases are good for making money, not so good for quality!  I want to make good and lasting stories. Stories you can be proud to have supported, and stories that will be worth reading long into the future.

So here's the big news: I'm transitioning from weekly releases, to "when it's done" releases. That means I'll be releasing complete stories all at once!

New novellas, short stories, and full novels; released as complete works.

This will ultimately allow me to create faster. Instead of constantly switching from writing/illustrating/editing/character-model-developing/release-notes modes every week, I can sink into a deeper, focused flow.

Even better, it will allow me to discover a whole story before sharing it, releasing a cohesive, edited, sexy story!

I understand this might be a bummer, and change how/if you want to support me financially. If so, I totally understand.

The stories coming up next!

I've been hard at work creating! Plus, I've been finding ways to reinvest your support for me as support for other creators.

Here's a Roadmap for everything coming next:

1. Lust, Lies, and Corporate Climbs

Length: Novella
Current state: First draft complete
To Do: Second draft, Editing, Illustration, Publishing

As far as David is concerned, Kristen sucks, full stop. She's a corporate drone at best. But her couch is a free place to crash, plus, Jules bet him a tattoo he couldn't do it without admitting Kristen's not so bad in the end.

Winning this bet should be easy: spend a few days sleeping on Kristen's couch, get through the family drama on the side, and DON'T sleep with her. Easy. But it turns out Kristen might be an unexpected asset when dealing with family. And she WANTS him...

2. Unstable Diffusion Storytelling Contest!

Length: Misc.

I sponsored a storytelling contest for AI content creators! I'll be posting the results shortly!

3. Bohemian Rhapsody

Length: Novella
Current State: Second draft complete
To Do: Editing, Illustration, Publishing

A story of a married couple rekindling love and discovering something new about desire. With some cameos by characters you know and love. Written by Steven Ogilvy!

4. Josephine on Fire - Bren's epilogue

Length: Short story
Current State: Writing complete
To Do: Illustration, Publishing

Mission complete - time for the reward. I'll be real, this one is steamy!

5. [To-be titled Sci-Fi]

Length: Short Story
Current State: Outline complete
To Do: Everything else!

Two researchers on a space station alone, driven to the brink... A collaboration with another AI illustrator!

6. Laura the Bold - Remaster

Work continues! Expect richer text, cleaned-up/sexy/more consistent images, and added content!

7. Josephine on Fire - Remaster

Same as above, except the focus will be on the beginning chapters.

8. [To-be titled Commissioned Work]

Length: Short Story
Current State: Concept

I'm working with an established writer in the space to produce something special! I can't wait to share it!

Beyond this - there are several stories outlined! I want to be integrating the creative energies of others, without compromising on quality or the otherworlderotic vibe. This is a slow, careful process.

I'm also working on updates on the website to help support this new content - easier browsing, more sensible notifications for new releases (blog), a redesign, and payment processing on-site.

I'm considering contracting a designer, so if you work in UX/UI design, please send me your portfolio!

Thank you!

The pace might change a bit here - thank you all for bearing with me. But I promise it will all be for the better! I keep saying it, and it's true: more stories, better stories.

Thank you SO MUCH for your support!

With love,

- Theo Hartley
