Funniest thing to happen to a polycule is for there to be so many schedule conflicts that no one ends up spending Valentines Day with anyone.

I honestly think it must be hell to feasibly get everyone together in the real world AU. At least two of them are in Europe most the time dealing with their companies, one's a full time teacher and a volunteer the rest of the time, and two are in university still dealing with graduate school schedules and whatever engineers and theoretical physicists do. Needless to say, things are hectic at the best of times and Lucian's all but given up on making the spreadsheet work for them. It's a free for all until things settle down, if they ever do.

Even with many of them living together, there's just so much traveling for their jobs that you just never know where you'll end up on a given day. I'm sure most of them don't even particularly care for Valentine's day. Lucian mostly valued it for the discounted chocolates you can get the day after. But, even so, he likes to make it an excuse to go all out and since he's all alone this year, he also takes it as a chance to tease and taunt those who're missing out on an opportunity of a lifetime.

Well, there's next year at least for the poor guys who couldn't be there.
