Long time no talk! Firstly, we want to apologize for our radio silence following Quickie: A Love Hotel Story's full release. The past few months have been eventful, and we're overdue to bring you up to speed. We also want to share some significant news about the future of Oppai Games. A TL;DR can be found at the end.

ANNOUNCEMENT

After the release of Quickie: A Love Hotel Story, the two of us managed to finally take some much needed time off, catching up with family and friends and just catching up on parts of our lives that have been neglected over the years. Your patience and understanding during this absence meant a lot to us, so thank you for giving us room to breathe.

After our break, we immediately dove into brainstorming for our next project while also working to make Quickie available on itch.io, something many of you have requested. As we’re in the midst of pre-production, we heard the news of itch.io removing and delisting adult games. We decided to pause our upload plans until the dust settled on these policy changes.

Then life threw us a series of unexpected health challenges for each of us. Thanks to the release of Quickie, we could focus on recovery rather than worrying about mounting medical expenses - so we are incredibly thankful for all the support you’ve given us during our release. However, these back-to-back health scares have left us feeling exposed, especially when combined with the increasingly precarious landscape for adult content creators across digital platforms (e.g. paid adult games delisted from itch, Steam now denying Early Access releases for adult games etc.).

After careful consideration, we've reached the painful conclusion that our new project will be put on hold. We want to focus on recovery and take the time to evaluate if developing adult games is still a viable path forward for us. This means we'll also be putting our Patreon on pause until further notice.

We're deeply sorry for having to deliver this disappointing update rather than the exciting new content you've been waiting for.

Just a note, Patreon will not charge a subscription while paused, but you can still become a Patron to have access to the games and their rewards.
