You're right about that part with Kal, but Lelouch is currently allied with Rhodes and so for Kal what he does reflect on them too. In canon she always proved fiercely protective of it. Rather than kinder, right now Lelouch is surrounded by people that know about Geass and would take exception to him abusing it like that: he's just refraining from using it because he has other options and out of pragmatic reasons, unlike canon when his only weapon was Geass. Furthermore, only a day has passed since Shinjuku so the chances to use it are currently minimal.

2022-09-22 16:39:31 +0000 UTCnot as much to say this time given I read most of this chapter already over the last week but if there was anything that did stick out to me it would be the way Kal reacts to Lelouch using geass while I understand her attitude towards it she talks like he is her subordinate and it strikes me as odd. The only other thing would be that geass seems a bit underused as of now given Lelouch has absolutely no qualms about abusing it even from episode 2 I get your trying to portray a kinder Lelouch it just strikes me as odd given how quickly he at least establishes its parameters in canon.
