LOL sorry, I didn’t mean to stress you out with my “let’s hope the team puppy doesn’t go through trauma” bit 😂 It wasn’t intended to be foreshadowing, more a reference to how Fitz was so bright eyed before his brain injury, which effectively soft rebooted his character in S2 (irl they wanted to give Iain more to work with since he was struggling to “find” Fitz in S1, so a significant brain injury gave them an in-universe excuse to rework the character), and then he grew even more jaded after the Framework. But now we’ve got a second chance at a “team puppy” with Deke (who was already custom made to suit Jeff Ward haha)!
