Update on the future

Heyo all supporters of CaptionsByCaptain :)

To Patrons: I realized today that I forgot to pause the December billing cycle (and November too? Not sure...) . You have all been refunded your patronage these months. Patrons who joined after I paused captions have also been refunded for their initial join-date.

I would like to talk a little bit about my current life situation and my plans for CaptionsByCaptain. And yes, captions will be coming back sometime along with new types of content. I don't know when, but it will happen.

Currently I am personally dealing with some mental health issues. I have social anxiety with avoidant personality disorder (the dynamic duo xd), and life hasn't been too easy for me lately, especially with Corona. Therefore the whole "no content" thing... ...But I am optimistic. I am determined to take better care of my physical and mental health going forward, and so it is at this point not crazy for me to imagine starting doing captions again at some point in the future.

With this break from making captions I have gathered some thoughts on how I would do things in the future if I start doing captions again:

1. There will only be one official (non-comission) post per day. Instead of Patrons getting exclusive captions, Patrons will be getting a far more expansive early-access library. The log of exclusive captions will remain Patron exclusives and will be available to everyone who support me on Patreon, but there will not be more exclusives released in the near future. Instead I will probably just expand the "early access" time as I go along and make more captions. I may also post comissions that don't get paid for and those the comissionee allows me to share. I imagine if I make captions for a while the "early access time" would be up to two years ultimately for the highest tier when that time comes. (700+ captions if there is one caption per day :o).

1. I am thinking of making an Onlyfans account. This would be free to subscribe to. This would allow you guys to pay per caption. If you are into something that I make few captions about, this means you can still get early access to those captions without having to pay for content you don't want.

example:

You are into some kink "A". Only 5% of my posts include A. Now you don't need to pay for the other 95% to get early access to A, as you can get those captions standalone on Onlyfans (remember everything will come out on DA/Reddit ultimately anyways).

This was one of the things I didn't like with Patreon. Previously I have said I wanted an even distribution of kinks in public captions and exclusive captions. Now that I won't be doing exclusives this obviously isn't an Issue, but still.

Onlyfans would also make it easier for me to do comissions from you guys, something I have not yet done. And while we're on the topic, I would like to make clear that I will never caption a photo of a real person (People have been requesting this). You will be able to comission the caption text for such images, but I will not make it in "caption format" and I certainly will not be releasing captions like that on any platforms. I am not comfortable with creating easily shareable sexualized content of another person. 

3. I am learning 3D software (blender) :D, and thanks to my technical background I seem to be picking it up rather quickly. In the future this could mean 3D artworks for you guys, which I could also caption myself. This means potential for my own creations in terms of series or long-format stories with art made by myself. I am also thinking of branching choices and such, but for now that is all fantasy and I need to focus on learning Blender and getting back to caption-writing first.
