Luckily her elite training kicks in and she's able to formulate another plan. The ability to think on one's feet and change tactics at a moment's notice is essential in espionage.
This page has kind of an R-Rated 80s comedy vibe about it that I think works for this story. I think Bob Clark (of Porky's fame) probably could have directed an excellent film adaptation of this story. He'd really make this material sing.
