2025-06-07 01:49:21 +0000 UTCOkay re the media training thing I think there’s a big difference for a lot of stars 25 and under, especially if they weren’t child stars. Billie eilish comes to mind for me alongside Chappell, and rr. For me I think it’s not even the lack of media training, but it’s the not having to seem agreeable. In some ways it’s a customer service persona with a lot of celebs, but the product is their personal(ity) brand. I think as well with older celebs for so long you couldn’t speak freely. Some of that is social media, some of that is their teams/ press release. I think it’s why a lot of the younger stars come off a bit brash, some of the older older stars come off cringey when they join socials and try to connect (it’s also funny sometimes seeing actors who’ve been working on camera for decades but can’t take a good selfie) and then the inbetweens who are adept on socials but have boundaries on what they share. Also I think a lot of the Tiktok brain rot correlates having a stage persona with being fake. The kids of today couldn’t handle a Sasha fierce lol
