Added 2024-12-12 22:33:56 +0000 UTCSimply couldn't stop myself from talking even more about Luigi this week haha as more and more comes out, Erik and I discuss the impact this is having on conversations online and offline, the level of hot you need to be for assassination to be a flop or a slay, the ways change is effectively made, and of course...more conspiracy theories that are out about this.

I also think part of the reason the French are always protesting or more motivated to do so is they have the time and energy. Their work lives aren’t generally as demanding as in America where we’re constantly pushed to work more and more so you don’t have free time to dedicate yourself to your community and you don’t have the resources or benefits that the French have so you are more motivated to keep your job vs go to a protest

2024-12-15 04:27:42 +0000 UTCPeople are now shooting lasers up at them and mistaking airplaines and helicopters for drones. A pilot posted on a facebook page asking people to stop. I’m not sure how can they tell us there is no threat yet they don’t know what they are, or where they are coming from? You either know, or you don’t. If it’s the government why not come out and say they are mapping out roads, something simple to put the public’s mind to rest. They go out to sea during the day to charge on a ship apparently, and come out at night. I’m laying in bed with my window shades open and they are going back and forth, some in a pattern some random. Some are insanely high up and some are low enough to set off ring cameras. There’s pages on Facebook dedicated to NJ drones, I do suggest joining. I feel bad, there are a lot of moms with young children anxious 24/7 that have packed emergency bags, god forbid something happens. Hopefully we get answers soon.

I have one named Noodles lol. they’re considered a “moderate energy” breed, so they’re chill inside, but are happy doing activities outdoors too. they’re also really easy to train and are known for being gentle with kids/other dogs. they have a lot of fur but it’s fairly low maintenance. (ps: they’re very different than Border Collies lol that breed is insane)

2024-12-14 02:40:14 +0000 UTCso about getting a dog—i live in a part of canada that’s extremely cold in the winter, so as much as it does suck sometimes, i am SO grateful that my dog forces me out of the house to breathe in fresh air and “touch grass” lol or snow every day. there are for sure challenges to dog ownership, but they truly do give you a reason to keep mobile and stay accountable to your body. not to mention so much love and sweetness🥹. excited to hear about your future dog adventures!!!

But the public and the media are so honed in on this case I don’t think that option was ever going to be possible.

After seeing sooo many posts with people pointing out the difference between the guy at the scene and Luigi’s eyebrow gap I really am thinking they picked him as a fall guy. Maybe his family worked out some sort of deal because they want to keep an eye on him? Idk. Crazy times we are in!!

2024-12-13 02:06:23 +0000 UTCShannon I support you continuing to talk about Luigi forever this case is my current hyperfixation I just want to keep consuming content on it. I think its just exciting, especially right after this election, to finally have something happen that is in favor of the public and the working class. My biggest fear is that this will stop trending and fade away in a few weeks and Luigi will of course get convicted with the worst sentence possible and then that will be that, because we truly can't have anything good for too long if it might actually make impactful change. Unfortunately it seems that violence IS the answer and fire needs to be fought with fire, but I'm certainly not going to go out there and hurt anyone for the cause, I know most of us aren't, which makes Luigi such a rare case, and that's what makes him interesting. I really like your idea of having deliberate terms that we want for health insurance, but then what leverage do we have to get the people with power to listen? I keep thinking of 2020 and the BLM protests, and how it was a perfect storm of people getting mad AND not having their jobs to go into, but a protest about police brutality was met with a lot of police brutality. How are we supposed to protest when we have to go to work, lest we can't afford food and rent? Capitalism keeps us in our place, and if we have a moment like 2020 where we are less constrained by capitalism, the police will keep us in place with tear gas and handcuffs. It's exhausting. Like many of us, I want us to come together and organize and fight, but none of us really know what to do, so we keep hoping someone like Luigi will sacrifice themselves to save us. Anyway, thanks for dropping another episode for us!
