Midnights never felt cohesive to me and I still feel like it’s a scrapped songs album 🤷🏻♀️ idc what she says. Girlie loves a carefully crafted narrative. For the sound? Just based on the aesthetic I was getting indie rock 2014 Tumblr era. Somewhat grunge. I know TTPD is registered as a synth pop album but it’s giving indie grunge 2014 Tumblr core to me!! As long as the whole album doesn’t just sound like midnight rain 🫣😬 I just feel like a dark hair era, haira?? Would work well for this album 🫣 Some people were speculating that March 15th would be the rep tv drop because of the arms on the clock choker but I’m feeling like that’ll be a single drop 🤔

2024-02-07 10:48:03 +0000 UTCOoof i have many thoughts so I’m gonna split it into two 😂 I also hated the hair, and I have been annoyed by her lack of doing much to it during the whole tour 🫣 though I find that more understandable and I doubt we’ll see a drastic change before tour ends. What I think could be great, especially with rep tv and the new album is a sleek Bob and black or cherry red hair! Or even a chocolate brown. If she dyed her hair again I feel like it would either be a ginger color since she keeps making herself ginger in projects, or a strawberry blonde that’s got a pinkish hue to it. I think part of why the dress looked so weird was that a stark white like that really clashed with her skin, I saw a reel of someone making their own version of the Grammys look and they had very cool toned skin and it looked nicer, but overall it did feel kinda last minute slapped together. I saw a few people saying that she looked really drunk when it came to the aoty win, and it really did look like she was a bit more goofy than normal. The Céline thing I’m kinda flip flopping on, as a lot of people pointed out with the stuff person syndrome it could’ve hurt Céline if Taylor had excitedly hugged her 🤷🏻♀️ could always be both. Also I want to agree about the Super Bowl being rigged but as I was (aggressively) told the chiefs have been doing well before all this 🤣 Also not great thing but I could totally see Taylor quietly going to a “wellness retreat” after tour is over that’s actually some kind of mental health place🤷🏻♀️ Oh!! I also feel like debut TV will get announced on the last night of tour and will get the most coverage and love from her, like a new video for our song (maybe with Travis if they’re still together?? 👀) but that’s just a theory

Like if they’re as serious as rumors say they are, I could understand her wanting to go ahead and release the Joe break up album so that she doesn’t get the narrative later on(if she waited until after the tour or re-records) that “she’s still hung up on her ex”

Midnights was mid and I stand by that. The album felt incredibly rushed which I suspect it was so it could align timeline wise w tour. Also, the crowd was so lame for Miley but super hyped for Olivia?? Make it make sense!
