I had the worst asthma flare up of my life in the last 2 months. This has freaked me out a bit 😬

2023-12-10 14:34:47 +0000 UTCI do find the wish for people not to be “bad” and not need to be “cancelled” so relatable like i wish people kept more opinions as just thoughts lmao, i’ve stopped speaking to so much family because it’s been really awakening to know what they think or their values now that i’ve become an adult, so i love that this podcast is a space where very parasocially i can listen while going about my day and hear you guys discuss and healthily disagree on things and discuss things sincerely also shrinkflation is so wild but also just with the practice of paying more for worse products or service, like my most “karen” pet peeve is that kmart in australia took note from overseas shops and places the checkout in the center of the shop and only has one or two staffed checkouts and it makes me irate, i don’t love having to scan my own goods but i wouldn’t be so mad if the machines were always broken/saying error like even the retail therapy is worse and all this stuff only happens because companies want more money

They kept citing that the “economy is strong” right now, and I was like, for who?? Like sure it feels great for my parents who are financially comfortable and my brother who has a nice finance job, but they’re the outliers here. I have no idea how they measure the economy, but it sure as hell doesn’t feel strong to me when basically everyone I know is struggling!

Busting out the bullet points for this: - Twinsies 😂 (in that I too got sad and had to stop watching the golden bachelor but also) my bf is a 30 yr old ginger- hope your recording plan works, I don’t know what substance(s) they were using, but when mine broke his ankle they had to give him extra or something else to set the ankle because the usual dose did not put him under or even make him sleepy, then when he came to he was normal (but this was pretty quick, not a surgery) - Haha my 5 ft friend doesn’t exclusively date 6 ft+ guys, but for sure gives them preference when she’s on the apps, so you guys might be onto something 🤔 - I do think the Kardashian-Jenners share men 😬 - To one of the sound offs yall requested- everything constantly seems like it’s terrible and only declining, so yeah the homies and i are greened out all the time just trying to cope - Finally, I am so sorry the negative comments and 1 star reviews are getting to you, Shannon. But it’s hard when it feels like you’re getting scammed at the grocery store and for basic services. Also, I have been thinking a lot about how Bush after 9/11 was like go buy things as your civil, patriotic duty. That is to say, my partner and I (in our 30’s) definitely depend on the Nintendo Switch and sugary cereals to cope. Side note, would love a more dives into consumer culture/late stage capitalism/planned obsolescence. :)

Gets me every time and I hate it 😭 Also I hate it when food brands change ingredients with no warning since it’s a danger to us allergy girlies! Shrinking product size with no warning is bad enough 😵💫😵💫
