I personally like discussion of pop culture in general for the weekly episodes, with maybe a once a month deep dive on a certain topic (maybe you could have us vote on the topic).

I know personally, my opinion of certain podcasts can be swayed by where i’m at in life and what role that podcast plays. For example, fluently forward coming out on Mondays was perfect when I was in early morning physical therapy because it’s the only podcast that could keep me awake and focused lol. I’m no longer doing that but the pod is still an important part of getting my butt going on Mondays. So my circumstance changing didn’t change my experience of the podcast, but just pointing out that someone else might think, hmm, i’m not getting as much out of this now when in reality their circumstances maybe changed.

I joined all of y’all’s because i like you all as people, I like your opinions and your jokes and I like how unfiltered patreon can be. I honestly don’t think anything deeply needs changing, Enty did not INVENT blind items and he’s not the only source you read from. Troy & Kelli have issues with him “missing” every time they credit him, you credit him plenty too. I don’t know why he’s suddenly mad (or should I say jealous?) at all these different creators, y’all reading blinds is no different than reading a People magazine article snippet or something, the conversation expands from there. it’s not your fault you’re funnier and more likeable. Ultimately, do what feels right for you and what takes the most anxiety off, but don’t let jerkwads push you out of a space you have every right to be in. Enty may write some of the blinds you read, but you’re the one making the jokes, providing the context, doing the research, sharing your opinions of diff celebs & situations, being yourself is how the podcast got so successful. i don’t listen to Enty’s stuff because i’ve noticed a pattern I don’t like from him, but i’ll listen to you, Kyle Marisa, troy & kelli, or cam read his blinds and others any day, because y’all will throw out stuff like “i don’t like this blind, i don’t think it’s true, this blind is really sexist, etc” and give your opinions on the context. He can’t make a public, anonymous website full of information/gossip then get mad when people refer to it and use it, it’s silly. Sorry this was so long but the Enty situation really irks me, he did not MAKE you, you spent years studying comedy and have a huge interest in celebrity conspiracies which leads to blinds. If he’s not gonna un-wad his knickers that’s not gonna break you, either. I think you’re amazing and have been putting out fantastic content from the start of FF to now. If you wanna do more guests on here than on public, that’s cool! But please don’t think you need a permanent co host, or that you aren’t ALLOWED to read blinds so you have to change a bunch. You are the only one who gets to control you. Shannon does what Shannon wants to do, Shannon says what Shannon wants to say, ok?

2023-09-13 03:49:02 +0000 UTCI'm like many here, pretty happy with the current content, and i also appreciate the patreon community vibes and pop culture roundups (as you've wanted to move away from the blind item focus, those pop culture catchups and minisodes are my faves), so i would be happy with the current schedule but understand if you want something different I then lean towards keeping Patreon and adding a cohost. overall people just need to get better at mediating their own media consumption; at times, it feels like people feel obligated to listen to episodes, even if they're not interested in or will be triggered and I don't think that that's the fault of the content creator. I felt like you've been nothing but receptive and authentic, even when I've had disagreements or issues with the accuracy, or topics discussed, you have been very open and receptive from your end, and as a result, I have a lot of respect for you as a content creator and your analysis and respect whatever you choose to do, it ultimately should be up to you.

I think it’s a loud minority that got to you but there’s no need to change everything completely. Just make some adjustments and move forward, pun intended.

I’m brand new to the patreon for more content- I skip some of the more conspiratorial eps so came here for more pop culture/content in general and it seems like there’s a mix here as well, which is fine and i’ll listen to the episodes im into which is majority of them. Try not to spiral, a lot of us here are enjoying everything just fine.

2023-09-13 02:40:06 +0000 UTCThe Patreon was there for me, no questions asked, when I needed it the most (i.e., when Joe/Taylor Sophie/joe broke up). Reddit threads are overly dramatic/critical. Not saying that having your work criticized on a public platform is easy, but the more your platform grows the higher likelihood more mean reddit posts will pop up. I don’t think it’s worth changing your business model over it. Personally, I love the patreon. I appreciate the rate you put out episodes, and to echo what others have said, i love that you’re less filtered on the Patreon. Also, not a huge fan of the ads.

That being said, I do have a preference for your non-celebrity episodes (conspiracy theories and I absolutely LOVED the mushroom episode lol) but I still end up listening to ALL of your episodes, even if I often have to google the names of the celebrities because a) I‘m just very bad with names 😅 but also b) I’m just not that much into social media nor celebrities #don‘t judge 🤦🏻♀️ My point being, I really love your content and I appreciate how much personal information you share with us, it kind of makes it feel like I‘m listening to a voice mail of a friend!! And I’m truly sorry & saddened to hear that you‘ve been having these thoughts & feelings but I applaud the courage to share them with us ❤️ I will end up listening to you either way (I‘m hooked now 😅🤷🏻♀️) but I would miss the Patreon and/or the solo episodes on Patreon, it just feels more private and interactive over here.. That being said my favorite episodes have been your deep dive ones, conspiracy theory stuff i also loved the mushroom one. I love all the celeb gossip and blinds that's how I found you (listen to enty and beyond the blinds, deuxmoi etc) I ended up paying to see if I like you and so far I do! Same as everyone else it feels like I'm hanging out with a friend when I listen. You're not annoying and seem genuine so I recently decided to stay subscribed to you over a different patreon I have which tbh is beyond the blinds LOL. The reason being that is actually too celeb gossip focused for me and I feel yours is more rounded out with other information. Too much cleeb gossip gets too toxic feeling. Anyways, all that being said I do not think you should end your patreon especially if it's making you money! Do not listen to reddit! Just do you and what feels right in your heart plus the advice from the people commenting here. You said on one of the epsiodes that this is your full time job but I'm not sure if it is still. If it is though maybe do a monthly cohosted episode and see what it turns into. 🤔 goodluck! Thanks for the laughs!
