I don't think there is a relationship, rather that Mohammad has dirt on Zac that could be fatal to his career. I'm not sure what could be so bad that Zac stays friends with him, but I think wherever Zac goes, Mohammad goes.

Hilary sings all the vocals in the album version (on Spotify), but the movie version includes Haylie because Isabella is supposed to be helping Lizzie sing (Lizzie isn’t a singer). Haylie Duff was the voice of Isabella in the movie.
