BUT many people in the autistic community prefer identity-first language (e.g. “I’m autistic”) for a number of reasons. You stumbled onto a whole thing 😅

They both originate from ongoing or repeated trauma/abuse. What makes Borderline different, is an added factor of “chronic invalidation”. Invalidation of self (loss of identity), invalidation of emotions (mood swings) invalidation of achievements(recklessness impulsiveness) etc in childhood.
