Book Club Number Two!

Ladies and gents, I think it's time for another book club! I loved reading Daisy Jones and the Six with you (also some of you are suggesting a Zoom to chat about our thoughts on the series which I think would be fun for next week...) but in the meantime, let's vote on the next book for our book club!

1: You Are What You Click - for the "Forward Thinkers" out there (and ty to floozie Camille who sent this to me!), I know a lot of us are interested in topics of the internet algorithm, how social media affects our brain, and how to use the beast of the internet responsibly in way that gives a net positive, this is a book about that and will lead to a great discussion!

2: Uglies - this series is similar to Hunger Games/Divergent in the sense that it's dystopian (and like Daisy Jones and the Six, will be turned into a series soon) it takes place in a world where at the age of 16, everyone gets a surgery to become physically perfect...but some people are rebelling against this

3: Big Swiss - recommended by a floozie, and I believe is also being adapted for the screen! A brilliantly original and funny novel about a sex therapist’s transcriptionist who falls in love with a client while listening to her sessions. When they accidentally meet in real life, an explosive affair ensues.

4: The Magnificent Lives of Marjorie Post - this book is trending right now (recommended by We Met At Acme) and is a historical fiction, about an American heiress. "A wife four times over, Marjorie sought her happily-ever-after with the blue-blooded party boy who could not outrun his demons, the charismatic financier whose charm turned to betrayal, the international diplomat with a dark side, and the bon vivant whose shocking secrets would shake Marjorie and all of society."
