Hey everyone!
A while back, I had the idea of placing small poems/ lymerics and short verses before some chapters to give a bit of extra lore about the world. I intend to do no more than 1 per week for now, mostly because it's hard to come up with good rhymes hahaha.
However, I had the idea for this one, and it was actually supposed to be in chapter 104. Just a small glimpse of what the emperor did.
Because of that, I'm placing the Poem here, and for the free readers, it will appear in chapter 104.
Now, this is also something that I'm trying out, so please feel free to tell me what you think about the idea. Also, I'm not going to make these things have a direct link to the story all the time. Some will be about faraway places and things that are yet to come.
Now for the first of these poems
The restless shadows
streamed through the night
As we prayed to the heavens
to bring on the light
With a cackling laugh,
the witch took flight
basking in joy,
seeing our plight
'You thought I was the one to fright,
now you all shall perish
in this undead blight'
