November 2025 Update

Greetings everyone!

This will be a short update, as I am busting but to try to get this milestone done.


FBS Fundraising

Fund raising is paused until four months after the release of version 2.6.0.1. (Assuming no needs for hotfixes.)


GearCity: 2nd Gear

I'm currently halfway done with the Milestone #6 bounties. Although, this is a bit of an understatement. I have always expected the OpenGL3 bounty was going to take a good amount of time. I was not incorrect. That bounty took approximately 13 working days to complete. I also finished Scroll Rounding, which I expected was going to take a few days as well.

I focused my effort on bounties that would not require save game changes. After completing those, I looked throught he save games submitted for balancing fixes. After looking through them, I found the major issue is with the Component Skill Rating system causing all the insane changes. This could only be tested with these long play saves. I have significantly pulled back component skills effect on ratings. I also switched them to a percentage multiplier instead of a raw value bonus. This takes up a little more compute time, but the results are more inline.

I now will go through a rebalancing of the Mk2 Production system using these long term plays. After that, I'll bounce back to the bounties which will require save changes.

Hopefully we'll have it ready for release by the end of December.

AeroMogul

Work on AeroMogul is paused, except for the occasional data entry work, until the FBS milestone is completed. I last left off completing the order for aircraft and all the new data variables I need to pass through to complete the transaction. (Mostly aircraft customization.)
