The newest addition, another electric piano I definitely don't need.
1976 piano bass, used to be owned by a high school!
Video soon, I don't plan on keeping it forever, but it's certainly a cool thing to show off a bit

FINALLY, here's the patreon download for the newest keygroup, sampled from the AX60.
One of my favorite synths, honestly. Same as always, loose samples, or the .xpn . Enjoy!

Add some reverb, add some delay, add some Air-Lofi, really get em cooking.

2022-06-14 05:41:53 +0000 UTC View PostTomorrow morning I'll be headed for Berlin, all in the name of synthesizer content.
My plan for content, catch some demos of stuff on the floor, edit and upload those same day. Then one longer, while week "damn this is superbooth" video + my thoughts on what impressed me the most.
And finally, I'll be using the travel time to get more familiar with the OP-1, and recording some cl...
Successfully installed a generic battery, mf'er powers on now.
Doesn't seem to charge though, seems quite likely the I/O board is an issue as well. But progress!
OKAY MAYBE THIS IS TOO MANY.
Lol.
Direct from the UK, Look mum no computer's old MS10.
Op1 has priority, then kitten, then this. 🙏😅
I'm juggling too many projects but another has arrived.
This is the worst cared for OP-1 I have ever seen, and it's already turning out to be a bigger project than anticipated.
I was hoping to have this running by superbooth but that may be a pipe dream!
Howdy all, cheers for the support!
Did something I haven't done in a long time, scrapped a whole video after filming.
Just didn't like my performance or the points I was making, so I'm gonna let the idea simmer some more and try it again at a later point.
Losing that work, along with a few job interviews, a DJ Set, & practicing for a few live gigs, I am going to miss ...
Just the thumbnail....any guesses as to who its inspired by?

One strum of each of the face chords, minor, major, & 7th, in all keys, 36 one shots wav files, about 4 seconds each.
Thanks for the support!
2022-03-25 16:19:41 +0000 UTC View PostPatrons of ALL TIERS get this one for nothing extra. A big thanks for support, didn't feel like the right fit for just the middle tier.
These are 14 keygroups, multi sampled at different velocities if the patch was responsive to it, compatible with the modern MPCs. (if you wanted to convert to a different format, the samples are in the loose programs zip if you want to)

Next video will be on this really interesting ol sampler, the Roland js-30.
I replaced some faders and some tact switches, and now it's ready to rock for another 25 years.
Hey Patrons! Thanks for the support.
Tomorrow's video will be on the Buchla x Tiptop dual oscillator, surprise JORB LOVES EURORACK
2022-03-01 01:18:26 +0000 UTC View PostA Roland JS30 sampling workstation managed to find its way into my ebay cart, a d later to my door.
Marlow Diggs covered it, I can't help myself but want to see if I can get some good vibes out of it too 😂😅
Just about done with the edit of the next edition of redirect your gas this time all about what to buy instead of a juno 106.
Love doing these, love the discussions they kick off, really excited to hear what other people have to say.
Thanks for the support!
Switches are replaced, my have one or two of the existing ones with an iffy connection that get swapped out too, but that went well.
Had a ground hum messing with the oscillators, lfo was kinda jumpy, none of the modulation pots were going to exactly 0, but it seems like that was all the fault of an incorrectly wired transformer.
Yes, the classic, wired for 240v instead of 120v.
Ahh 3d printing. Stereotypically for home use, it's the domain of little trinkets or function-less props, but turns out it's good for overcoming 2 sudden mixing bits of obsolete plastic.
My kitten is missing 26 j-wire guides, and instead of pushing 6$ a pop, I whipped up a 3d model and had a buddy print a sample.
Seems to me like these are going to work well, have a full set now ...
The Kitten lives, after getting a syntaur order with a new power switch, I got everything button up to test... And well, it seems to be cooking already.
Keyboard will be horrible, but I can manage!
The kitten had tons of parts in shapes and sizes your can't get anymore.
A have a few broken switches on mine, and in trying to find suitably sized replacements, I had a realization of where to find parts that are essentially identical to what was available half a century ago : guitar parts.
These are Jazzmaster rhythm circuit switches, even in white! The actual switch bit is bare...
Appreciate you all showing up early, really means a lot to me.
Your first bit of super secret info, I'm currently working on the outline for the the next part of the Synthesist's guide to guitar pedals; Synth's with gain pedals.
Overdrive, distortion, fuzz will all be covered in detail, we'll be getting loud and gritty.
Looking forward to it, appreciate the support!
