Part of the tradition of CNY is you run around visiting your elders and attending all sorts of family get-togethers, handing out red packets, drinking lots of baijiu (aka nasty Chinese liquor) and what-not! My old man came back to China as well.

I'm in Hong Kong taking care of some banking issues, and my laptop was lost or stolen a few hours ago. Just managed to get to a wifi spot and am typing this up on phone. I'll be heading back to Sichuan tomorrow and will somehow redo those chapters so we are still on track, but I'm really, really annoyed right now....
