Baldur's Gate 3: Tabaxi Mod - Version 0.3
Added 2024-03-24 22:39:40 +0000 UTCThis version adds female tabaxi, an initial boot model, and also hopefully fixes the invisible equipment issue.
Please let me know if you find any equipment that's still invisible, or has pants that clip through the feet. I haven't been able to test this thoroughly yet, so it's fairly likely I missed a couple.
Next up will be adding some more fur options, improving the hands, feet and tail fur, hopefully finding a solution to a really intractable rigging issue that preventing me from fine-tuning the facial animations the way I'd like, and then finally moving on to changing some of the NPCs including optionally Shadowheart into tabaxi and adding some tabaxi lore items to the world. I might also make some additional boot models at some point.

2024-06-05 05:33:39 +0000 UTCYeah, it's kind of an awkward problem- the genitals look very wrong, but I'm also still hoping to keep the mod SFW so that it will be accessible to everyone, and modelling a cat penis isn't really that. I'm kind of hoping someone on Lover's Lab or somewhere would be willing to work on that- if not, I might go ahead and make a separate genitals mod at some point.

2024-06-03 20:18:58 +0000 UTCI had a little thought on the question of a character changed into a Tabaxi, if you're interested [may contain minor spoilers]. if an existing companion should be changed into a Tabaxi, in my opinion, it should definitly not be shadowheart. My thoughts about it are purely lore-wise based : Shadowheart being a Half-elve is already integrated to the lore, with her father who's an elf, and her mother an human. It shouldn't be Wyll nor Lae'zel or Karlach either for the same reason of a lineage already present in game, or her asendance being logic in the narration (for Karlach). But it could suit well to Astarion (even if it could be hard to show how a vampire Tabaxi look like) and Gale. Because those two character do not have any racial integration to the story (except maybe some minor mentions of astarion at the start of the game, when they said it is a pale elf). Especially for Gale that said. Gale has his ambition that can be related to an "obession" that we can see in the Tabaxi lore, and his relation with Tara could be a bit more fun. He speak about his parents somewhere in the game, but do not mention that they're human. hope you can find this useful, i love your work, keep going <3

Saw in the Patch 7 notes that Larian will be implementing some of the official mod-tools; among these features, the ability to change up visuals, animations, and such. Here's to hoping something in that will facilitate the work on this project, as it looks amazing thus far, and is just getting better wtih each update.

I'm not sure if it's fixable or not (I can hide helmets, so no big deal) but the snoot does clip through the head gear of "Shadow of Menzoberranzan." And probably all other hood/veil combos. Also, it's no big deal since idk how hard it is, but will this eventually be able to support modded hairstyles showing up in the editor? Thanks for the amazing work!

Couple of notes: eyes don't glow green during the Speak With Dead spell animation, I get some face-clipping during -some- kissing animations, and NPCs read Tav as human. Nothing you can really do for the human thing; voice-acted lines are prerecorded. However, can you remove [Human] options in dialogue? Face-clipping is caused by the long muzzle (compared to humans, anyway), maybe it's worth seeing how the dragonborn kissing scenes are handled?
