Cyberpunk 2077: Exotics - Version 0.9

This version fixes a number of bugs and includes some new models for the arms implants and NPC outfits.

This should be the last update before version 1.0 and the poll for the next mod.  I think I'm going to skip adding kemonomimi for the moment, since it looks like that would involve a ton of work- although I may circle back around to that in a post-release update.  The final features I'm planning to add are some in-game data pads with exotics-themed lore, a few minor model improvements, and splitting up the mod features into separate archive files so that they can be enabled or disabled individually. I'll also need to do some final debugging, so please let me know if you find any issues with this release.

Keep up the good work. I know people are probably spamming you with "why isn't the mod working" or "the forum says this is the issue" but you got this. Its your mod and many of us are patient and will wait as long as it takes.

Not sure more species options are needed at the moment, but a poll option for an "expansion" of this mod would be appreciated. Cyberpunk 2077 is a near perfect setting for a mod like this, there's plenty that can be added. Fingers crossed for an update for 2.0/PL soon enough. Holding off on playing the expansion 'til this is working again. Phenomenal work so far Cobalt, just a shame CDPR's update caused some problems.

That's not a bad idea- I'll see if I can move all of the exotic NPC assets to a separate .archive file in the next update so that they can be toggled independently of the main mod.

@thehunter, @Matica I'm not currently planning on adding new species- honestly, the mod has taken a bit longer to finish than I'd been hoping, so I'm just trying to wrap it up right now for the public release. That said, I might still return to the mod later on after the release to add new features or species- I'll probably add that as a poll option for patrons at some point.

Is there a way to toggle NPC models or change it so only V is an exotic? The latest update broke the cookedapps nulled mod and possibly this one - makes them look very strange.

Do you plan to add in any lizard-like species? Only ask because of the posters in one of your previous posts that shows off the draco line.

One thing I would recommend is getting dynamic bones in those tails, just 2 would be enough. That annoying mod that came out with Neko tails has them but I'll never install that mod.. ugh..

Yeah, hands are definitely the hardest part of anthros to get looking right. In really stylized art, you can get away with coloring the hands an ambiguous solid color, but in more realistic styles, there's an awkward trade-off between looking natural and looking species-appropriate. Covering the palm with fur looks really odd for non-rabbits, while leaving the entire palm fur-less only really looks right for monkeys and raccoons. Unfortunately, canine/feline pads tend to look weirder the more human-like the hand shape is, while overly thick fingers look awkwardly impractical (and would clip too much in a mod like this). So, slightly thicker than human fingers with pads tend to be the best of a lot of bad options. Ideally, I'd be able to set up a slider in the appearance customization to let players adjust the hands to preference, but I'm not sure that's possible with how the engine is set up. Also, making alternate versions of all of the body models would be a pretty big time investment. While I'm also not fully satisfied with how the hands look, I think I'm going to need to leave them as-is for now.

Just Judy and Rhino for now. Unfortunately, making the player digitigrade would involve creating new versions of all of the pants and shoe models, which isn't really practical. I may try to modify just one or two pants models to be digitigrade once I've fixed the CP2.0 issues, although even that may run up against some technical issues.

The digitigrade legs may be specific to Judy, at least for now.

Think you could come up with alternative hands? I would prefer more human-like hands with simply "long fingernails/claws" rather than the claws that the "paws" this mod has. Looks odd to me but not a huge deal.

Hey, sorry for the delayed response- I've been pretty busy on other things the past couple of weeks, and am just getting back into working on this. Yeah, it looks like the 2.0 update has completely broken the mod. I'm looking into ways of resolving the issues quickly, but unfortunately it looks like I may need to re-export and re-edit almost all of the models, which is going to take a while. I'm going to clear my calendar this weekend to focus on the mod and see if I can fix everything. I'll post an update on Sunday- even if all of the problems aren't fully fixed by then, it'll hopefully be in a playable state.

Has to do with the NullCookedApps mod that's required for this one, just has yet to be updated for 2.0. Still playable just a tad annoying. The Exotics mod works for the most part though.

That was a horrifying sight when I first encountered that a few minutes ago- her teeth were still outside of her head lmao My theory is the nulled mod could possibly be out of date, as it seems CDPR have updated a lot of the in-game models, which could cause issues like that pretty easily. Panam’s nails also sometimes detach from her hands and float beside her in a rather hilarious fashion as well at times. Other than those though, it’s working surprisingly well still!

Don't know if this was an issue before, but after the 2.0 update, a lot of clothing items clip through models, and there’s a lot of vertex glitching, which sometimes massively hinders visibility. Don’t know if this is a mod thing or an update thing, but I’m guessing it’s the update, as it most commonly occurs on human models, rather than furry models, strangely enough. Loving the mod so far otherwise, though!

It still works for V. Atm with the amount I've played the only issue I've seen is a graphical bug for some NPC's that distorts the entire screen and Judy not having a furry head. She still has a furry body tho so that just tells me her head info was changed and is why the mod no longer replaces it.

Did some looking, noticing this is affecting in my case all hair of some variety, so its unfortunately more often, But certainly a graphical issue. I noticed one person who wasn't glitching as bad that their 'hair' was being tugged down towards the floor, so likely a physics problem is the source of these spasm tail/hair bugs.

Tails of certain npcs wig out and spam the whole screen. its rare tho. My character and others atm are still furry but im not far enough to be sure. Nomad npc is still furry. Mods still great

Works with Cookedapps Null in 2.0. So far in the Character Creator anyway.

I noticed in your screenshots some have digitigrade and I browsed here for info on that but I can't find any clothing in game that changes my character to Digitigrade.
