Patreon requiring ID
Added 2023-07-22 12:22:21 +0000 UTCPatreon is adopting a new rule where creators need to send their drivers license/government ID to a third party company. I've attempted to do this a few times and each time it doesn't recognize my face in the photo. Since this isn't a universal requirement and I can imagine most other erotic art creators don't want to send personal data of this sort to a database that may be hacked in future, Patreon seems to have decided that erotic artists don't bring in as much revenue as credit card companies will, and being passively hostile is easier.
I may in future transfer to Subscribestar.adult, because if I can't send in my ID to stay on Patreon, what else can I do?
