Progress Report 09.03.2025

I’ve started this week pretty slowly because I was stuck doing additions for animations. On top of that Koikatsu was crashing a lot when rendering them, but after I finally dealt with the issue, I got into a good pace - a lot of code was written this time.
If you’re an SFX enjoyer, you’ll be happy to know I’ve put in a lot of new sounds for 0.3.5 that I think enhance the experience by a big margin.
In the beginning, I lived by the rule "show, don’t tell," but I think in the cinematic experience I was going for, it made the pacing feel rushed. So you need to let me know how bigger focus on narration worked for you. I think it works pretty well.
When I’m done finishing the last scene, I’ll focus on final polish before the release.
Now, when?
Very high probability next week. When it’s up, I’ll let you know on F95, Discord, and of course, here. So please save yourself the pain of checking Patreon without happy news to greet you. 😭

Sounds good, thanks for the comparison! I’ll probably start over with a new game when 0.3.5 releases and compare it.

2025-03-09 21:40:09 +0000 UTCWell, in the beginning (0.1), there was no narrator at all. It was pure dialogue with inner monologue sprinkled here and there. I can't remember it well, but I don't think it was much different in 0.2. 0.3 was the first time I actually started working on it. For example, when Mia enters the club, it's all written. In 0.1, Mia would probably just show up there without any buildup. If you didn't notice the change from 0.2 to 0.3, that's a good thing - I was worried it might be jarring. In 0.3.5, I focused on it even more, so when I release it, I'd be happy to hear your feedback on it.
