Hello!
This week, I've spent a lot of time working on animations. They are probably the most complex ones I've done so far since I decided on wider camera shots. This basically meant I had to animate whole bodies, no cheating allowed. 😭 But since we're talking about cheating, I think I found a way to keep up with the large amount of renders while also improving quality. I know I said I wouldn't talk about renders again, BUT...
The biggest and most annoying thing about working for a long time, crafting the perfect shot, was often the fact that I ended up doing one render and then had to redo it all over again for another one. From now on, I want to actually use all the work I did and add some additional movements for the characters. It takes the least amount of work but makes characters feel more alive and allows me to make better use of the time I spent setting the scene.
So yeah, even though movement was already a big part of my game, adding even more of it might paradoxically help. I came up with this idea yesterday, and it seems pretty good so far. I'll let you know how it goes next week.
Anyway...
Here’s what I’ve done this week:
80+ renders
2,5 animations
Thanks for reading, and until next time!
