Over the last months, for various reasons, including my original intent to focus on ultrawide, I've not released many FOV changers. I know I could have scored more points and donations by appealing to the wider audience, but it's not really my passion. From the perspective of modding, I'm not too excited about the thought of ultrawide becoming the norm and me having to switch to making nothing but FOV changers and FPS unlockers one day.
That said, I still create FOV changers in response to requests or, as with Road 96, when the game FOV is so low even to me (being below 90, of course) that it feels unplayable because of how much you have to spin around just to properly explore an area. As ultrawide users, we're used to moving our mouse less because there's already more in the view at once.
I'd received two requests asking for a way to change the FOV in Banishers, so I thought I'd work on that. Making it a standalone solution meant that I had to make it more interesting than some of my older bundled solutions, so it took some time to limit its scope to the gameplay view without messing with the cutscenes. As with a few of my other FOV changers, it also displays the current gameplay FOV. I'm attaching the trainer to this post before making it public while I'm expecting the two users to test it. If you use it, let me know if there are any bugs.
Edit: The feedback was positive, with no major issues reported, so the trainer is now public. As expected, there was a lot of interest in it!
