Added 2019-04-02 02:04:17 +0000 UTCFor the curious, what I've been working on recently is Ennuizel. It's a web-browser-based audio editor. I'm hoping I can use it to entice enough people to do some of the heavy lifting on the client side.
Some of you may recall that I used to have in-browser mixing in Craig. This used a simple tool, ffmpeg.js, to work. Unfortunately, while ffmpeg.js is certainly simple, it's extremely limited, as it stores everything in memory, and this made it extremely limited and unreliable. Ennuizel uses modern web storage standards and so can deal with much more data.
I've decided I want to finish Ennuizel before making a standalone EnnuiCastr, as such a tool is really needed, in my opinion.
Ennuizel will be capable of mixing (or not), as well as exporting to any modern format and applying some simple filters.
I'm actually currently only getting stuck with some issues importing Craig data into Ennuizel. Ennuizel itself is largely working.
Just an update if anybody was curious what's going on.
