The Labyrinth WIP

Hi everybody,

I wanted to show you a few wip renders of the Labyrinth! Most of the structure of the set is complete, while I'm still working on the Objects and Props.

The structure is complex, fully modular, with stairs to create heights and borders to make pools, as well as moving walls which some of you asked for! The renders show a moving T section, but the instructions will have more info on how that works. The stairs can also be combined with 1inch foam cubes or other cheap materials to create whole levels with differences in depth, for a very 3D experience: these renders don't make justice to the full potential of this set, hopefully I'll be able to show you a few more room ideas when the set is complete.

These are dungeon tiles, which means that there are no "external" tiles - the whole structure is meant to be underground or to be "inside". In case you want to cover the OpenLOCK mechanism you can always use the border pieces that are also used to make the pools (much like for the Draugar Ruins) - more details on these in the instructions that will be released with the set.

As always, the one shown in the render is just one huge structure for that eye candy effect. Constructing complete gargantuan Labyrinth dungeons with these sets would require a lot of time and resin, so I suggest starting small - with the rooms in which fights/puzzle may take place - and expand from there. Fights especially are the moments in which I want to have a map down - since that's when minis shine - while exploration can be more easily done on paper or erasable mats. Once your players step on the wrong pressure plate and open the door to the hidden room full of skeletal hoplites you can arrange the tiles to recreate that section of the labyrinth - or bring the arranged tiles over from your minis cave - and start fighting!

You can easily rearrange and reuse these tiles to make infinite different rooms for dungeons of a culture that fits its style, and it is not just Labyrinth related. They can be used for ruins, temples, ritual pools, arenas (more on that soon!), and more: the options are endless :)

That's it for now. I hope you like what you see, and I can't wait to show you the rest of the set: there are some juicy models in there! Oh, and don't forget to vote for the poll of the release coming this December in case you didn't yet: there are still a few days left.

Thanks a lot for the support, and I wish you a happy hobby time! :D
