Hi everybody,
the first part of the Siege Tower is out! For now, the set is composed of three parts:
- Siege Tower Structure. Modular, customizable and with a working bridge. You can check the renders for visuals and for a couple of structure options: you can make a reinforced tower (the one in the first pictures), one made just in wood, as tall or small as you like, and a gargantuan storied one, for epic high fantasy walls.
The structure looks more complex than it actually is, and I hope that the exploded block renders in the instructions show how to assemble each layer clearly :)
With the set there is also an "Outpost conversion kit": a few walls and battlements to convert the tower in an outpost or wooden fort location. I think that this option blows up the potential of the release.
- Rams. They are easy to assemble, they come with three styles (simple, reinforced, orkish) which can, of course, be combined as you like and with older releases to make even different cultural styles. The Ram head with the Dwarven shields from their Throne Room would make a perfect Dwarven Ram, I think :)
Yes, the orkish version is way over the top, but I kind of like that style for orks XD and you can always use the spikes for traps and the like.
- The Armory. I have made many weapons sets, but never one that fit the "medieval European fantasy setting" vibe that most fantasy ttrpgs towns have. In other words, one that you could find in the guard barracks, or in the armory of a castle. This is an attempt at that, with an organized look, different kind of non-knightly weapons, a few helmets and enough shield variants to keep my need for variety satisfied for a while.
I also promised a simple wall to go with the tower and a catapult set, which will be similar to the rams. These are coming asap, since I am still refining and testing them. As always, I don't want to rush the end result and I will always take the time to make them justice :)
I have already sent out invites on MMF to redeem the files, and you can also find them linked in the pinned post above. There are two links this month because apparently the Siege Tower is too heavy for Drive.
I will be posting the poll for next month asap, until then: thanks a lot for the patience and the support!
I wish you a happy hobby time :D
