Poll for August and September!

Hi everybody,

while I am test printing the last models of the current release, it is time for the poll for August and September! Once again, joining two polls to catch up: the first and second winners will be coming in August and September respectively, and this should give entries that are often second a chance to shine.

Two new entries join the poll: the Moose Rest Taphouse and the Draugar Ruins.

It has been a while since the last poll because I decided to take a bit of extra time to plan out the new entries, especially the new tavern/inn. Why this new tavern, you may ask? In the past I have released two general purpose tavern/inn sets, but the thing that I am most often asked for is "when will there be balconies for these?" - since those are not present in previous sets. I generally don’t release expansions for releases that are already out without including them organically in a new set or theme, and that is the reason for this new entry. It is not only about that, obviously! The set will be a complete modular building with a roof and objects & props to furnish it. You’ll be able to assemble it as a tavern, any house-like building, a distillery (someone said Curse of Strahd?), a guild hall, and so on. Basically, it will give a new set of tiles that you can combine with previous sets to make more complex structures (overhangs and balconies), Objects and props to furnish them, as well as new centerpieces (a large "domed" fireplace that stays in the middle of the room, an iconic counter, etc..) to make them memorable. The idea is to make it as new and useful a set as I can, without making models that would feel "duplicates" if you have the previous releases.

That said, I am not sure if you are interested in a set like that, and that is where the Poll comes in handy! Vote for it if you want to see it :)

The second new entry requires less words to explain: the Draugar Ruins will be a modular dungeon set with a style that focuses on large slabs of rock. The idea is to make ancient ruins with a bit of a nordic style but that will be versatile given the unconventional architecture and stone decorations. The inspiration, if it is not obvious, will be Skyrim ruins, with a spin :)

As always, if you have ideas for future releases or for specific elements for the ones listed here, write them below or in dms. I want to make what you want, so suggestions are highly appreciate :D

May the best location win!

Moose Rest Taphouse. The head of the largest moose observes the hall below through deep smoke. Drunk bounty hunters and desperate quest givers crowd the long tables of the Moose Rest, while aspiring bards play rowdy tunes. Dark figures await in the corners where the light of the huge fireplace doesn’t reach. There! A group of strangers asking questions… a new adventure is about to begin! - A modular OpenLOCK complete taphouse with objects and props to furnish it, compatible with previous sets. The focus will be on balconies (inside and outside), iconic centerpieces (“domed” fireplace, stylized counter, moose trophies, etcc…) and objects and props (furnished tables, wine bottles rack, cultured barrels, …).

Draugar Ruins. High on the mountain slope these ruins stand like the bones of a dead whale. Scholars say they are tombs from an ancient culture, but few expeditions delved deeper than the first, empty halls. They say the dead walk the deeper tunnels, but the living never come out to say if that’s true. - A modular OpenLOCK dungeon (by "dungeon" I mean: no roof, it will be mainly underground) with large architectural elements (arches and arched columns) that can be used also as stand alone scatter terrain. There will be walls with tombs sculpted in them, overhanging bridges as well as draugr/nordic objects and props. The set will use large slabs of rock to give a monolithic fantasy vibe, combined with nordic/Skyrim inspired decorations.

The Nautiloid Sanctum. Walls of flesh pulse like the heartbeat of a gargantuan creature: its organs are carved into rooms, its tissues into tables and menacing pods. Something moves inside these living tanks. - Mind flayer themed objects and props with pods, vats, psy-cannons and other living flesh contraptions. There should also be an OpenLOCK set to make nautiloid rooms, but that depends on the volume of scatter terrain, which is the main part of the release.

Hell! Scourging heat and blood-chilling wails: there is no mistaking the smell of sulfur and desperation that pollutes the air. We are in hell… - Jagged rocks, runic stones and devilish bone-structures: everything that you’d expect in fantasy hellish planes. With an Oblivion style portal to the lower hells!

The Blueteeth Tribe Camp. When the sun fades, the cries and laughter of the Blueteeth Camps can be heard from a great distance. Their brawling contests are as legendary as their skill in hunting, which are proven by the gargantuan corpses from which they build their homes. This fame alone is strong enough to dissuade lesser tribes from battling them. - A barbarian camp with tents and huts made from the remains of giant beats: ribcages, horns and hides. To furnish them, hunting objects and props as well as the everyday life items of the barbarians.

The Pyramid of the Sun. Many steps lead to the Altar of the Sun where the high priest communes with the Gods. Below, in the depth of the pyramid, many treasures sacred to the Serpent, the Lotus and the Macaw are guarded by silent wardens. - A mesoamerican pyramid (OpenLOCK set) with playable interiors and ritual objects and props, as well as its secret treasures and its stone snake wardens.

The Temple of Flowing Sand. A lonely temple in a valley of dead kings, resting for eternity. The sea of sand flows free between its colonnades. They say that in its deepest chamber the high priestess is still pondering the sky. - Ancient Egyptian style temple (OpenLOCK) with a decorated entrance, funerary objects and props, obelisks and colonnades.

The Labyrinth. A thin rope made of red silk. "If you lose this, you will be lost." They ventured between the towering rock walls of the house of Asterius, never to be seen again. - A greek-style labyrinth terrain (OpenLOCK set), with greek themed objects and props and the lair of the minotaur! The Avrean Oracle is a good example of its style.

That’s it! I’ll be collecting results at the beginning of next week. This poll got a bit delayed while I was thinking about adding a few projects that I am really looking forward to, but they’ll have to wait! At the end of the month I’ll be posting the poll for June, you can expect a couple of new entries there :)

Thank you for the support, and I wish you a happy hobby time!
