Hi everybody,
the release is ready and uploaded! Once again, a release that grew in a giant set. It is composed of five parts:
- The Modular Pier system, composed of platforms and beams. The set is fully modular and can be used to make small village piers or large port structures. It can be kept modular or glued together, which I suggest doing for larger structures (at least in blocks, so that you can always add things modularily). It uses a system of magnets (optional) or toothpicks (highly recommended) for modularity.
- Hangman's Gate, a scatter terrain stand alone piece that comes with a few skeleton poses and five crows that you can use basically anywhere. These have very thin claws (I hate big footed bird minis), so I suggest gluing them in place as soon as you know where you want to place them :)
The skeletons can either be printed with the resin rope and glued to the gate masts or you can print the variants without rope and make your own with hobby or cooking string.
- Smuggler's Boat, a simple but effective structure with a few options: a mast (with or without sails), a middle roof, a back roof or a plain rowboat. This model will work great with objects and props from this and previous releases. I picture a ship full of loot travelling over a river, a perfect prize for a team of rascals.
- Smuggler's Objects and Props, a small set of scatter terrain objects to furnish Hell's Port and other piers. If the skeleton lantern is a bit too much, you can always print the boring plain one :P
- Finally, the Kingpost Crane. This piece is huge, it requires glue to assemble and, with a bit of real string, it is (partially) functioning! Check the instructions for more info :) I tried to make a resin rope variant with a crane fixed in place, but none of my attempt survived printing well enough to make it worth it. Getting some cooking string and using that as a rope will always be cheaper and (I think) look better. That said, if you don't care about movement you can always glue its parts. I can picture this piece being a center piece of a map with building under construction, a mine or an excavation of some sort. In ports it can be used to load and unload ships as well as to capsize enemy vessels (like the Claws of Archimedes!).
I have already sent out invites to redeem the models on MMF or you can find them on the Patrons only post with the links, pinned above.
That's it: I'll be back in a few days with the poll for April while I am working on March: the Mausoleum of the Martyr that will complete the Cathedral.
Thanks a lot for the support, I wish you a happy hobby time! :D
