Hi everybody,
the full release is up!
As I was mentioning in the last post, the aim of this set is vertical playability, modularity and customizability. That's why basically anything I used to compose the pieces of the scaffolding, the rocks and the palisade comes as a kitbash option too. You can use those pieces to make your own costum structures, custom palisades and rock formations: they just require some glue to assemble. With the addition of the modular rocks, this set is now huge!
The release has four main parts:
- The Scaffolding System, which is a modular scatter terrain set with a ton of options. I suggest checking the instructions images above to get an idea of how it works - explaining all of that with words here would be confusing. Glueing will be necessary for most parts of its structure, but you also have a couple of different modularity options (you can read all about those too in the instructions). Because of its scatter terrain nature and its rickety look, this may be the most modular terrain set I have done so far!
- Palisade, a simple scatter terrain set which can be used to make walls for bandit and military camps as well as villages and wilderness fortifications. These can be glued together in modular blocks or just placed as they are on the battlemat: thanks to the stones at the bottom they should rest in a stable manner.
- Bandit Objects and Props, with a gibbet, a cage, bear traps, weapons and two sets of decorations: skin banners and chained skulls. You can use these to decor all the other pieces of this set: if you want a heavy metal location, this is the way to go! Just glue them on and cut nails and skin-cloth at the needed length after print :)
- Scatter Pass Rocks, a scatter terrain set that wasn't previewd in the last post. There are a few fully textured blocks that you can use to make a rocky terrain with layers, especially if combined with foam. If you want more variety you can print the single rocks to make different formations (and rescale them in the slicer too for extra different pieces to work with). These are good for miniature bases too, and they can be used to decor crafted terrain (e.g. foam hills): just scale them at the wanted level of detail and slap them on your projects!
As mentioned above, there are also extra kitbash options of all these sets (included in the relative folders). These increases the number of terrain options you can build, making it possible to have - with a bit of hobby work - many rickety and weird bandit structures. I can't wait to see what you make with these! (And I hope to find the time during december to scratch build some on my own).
I apologize for the delay, but I hope this set is worth it :)
I sent out invites to redeem the release on MMF, and you can download it from the drive links too. Let me know if you have trouble accessing the files.
Now it's time to work on something completely different: the Cathedral of the Martyr. Hopefully this time I'll have WIP pictures around the 20th of December. The Poll for February will come in a few days too.
That's it! Really, really thanks a lot for the support. Sometimes a project takes much more time than planned, and it is thanks to your support that I can refine them to this high quality. So, I will repeat myself again and again: thanks a lot!
I hope you like the release, and I wish you a happy hobby time :D
