The Druid Grove!

Hi everybody,

the release is ready! A few more words on the sets:

- The Druid Grove Structure, as I mentioned in the last post, this structure is designed to be customizable and versatile, and it will require glue to assemble if you want it to stand sturdy. The columns come with a 2 inches and a 3 inches variant, as well as a modular and magnetizable column in case you like taller structures. The name of the files tell which piece goes where (everything that is not labeled "top" goes on the ground), with a couple of variants in texture for each. You can always mirror them in the slicer, experiment with different combinations and even make some alternative structures of your own with the "free" version in the separated folder. While the regular set is hollowed to save resin, these "free" blocks are not - their purpose is to be textured at 360 degrees, and having one face with holes for drainage would defeat the purpose. Once you decide where and how you want to use the extra blocks you can always hollow them in your slicer and add drainage holes where they fit your build, so that they don't show through.

I wanted to make rock walls to go behind these blocks and columns - like in BG3 - but I find that it would require a taxing amount of resin. Making them out of any other hobby material is way cheaper and produces terrain that are way easier to manage at the table, especially since they don't need to be detailed: they are just the rock background of the main resin location. If you plan to make some rock walls like that I suggest using foam - check out RP Archive's tutorials; if you have never heard of the Youtube channel, it is great! - or, for a cheaper variant, paper and vynil glue.

- Druid Objects and Props, my personal favourites are the library and shelves: I think they really give the druid abode/ monastery/ "I'm wise and ancient, no bound books here" vibe. There are also vases, baskets, stone and fur beds, runic stones, braziers, weapons, potions and more. I am sure you'll find something worth printing for your kitbash pieces.

- Animal Statues, the full set is composed of 6 of them: Bear, Wolf, Frog, Owl, Snake and Deer. They all come with a large version (the one you see around the room in the Grove render), a small version (that you can spot on some of the structure bits, e.g. in the back) and a gargantuan version (the deer in the middle). If you find them too large or too small you can always re-scale them in the slicer at the dimensions you prefer! The chonkier ones also come with a hollowed version, which is probably the way to go if you don't want to make IRL improvised weapons out of them.

I am having a bit of trouble with Drive uploads right now, so you can expect the link to the release tomorrow (the Welcome Pack is up). In any case I just shared the complete set for you to redeem on MMF, so that you can start printing asap :) Let me know if you have trouble accessing the files there.

That's it for now! I'll be back in a few days with the poll for January, and after that a sneak peak at Hawkstone Pass!

Thanks for the support, and I wish you a happy hobby time! :D
