This update isn't as big as the last one... BUT. It fixes pretty much the rest of the existing "Black outline" issues, where the transparency is messed up. BUT.. Now with that fixed, and other blocks tweaked I can start moving forward in a much better direction. With everything set up now, I am now comfy with adding in blocks via later updates, as well as adding even MORE items and mobs.
CHANGES: Fixed black transparency issues, added new item PBR like buckets, ingots, clay, flint, golden apples, raw ores, and totems of undying, i've also got the iron golem properly textured, as well as the ender dragon. Most tools have been tweaked (Have been working on what I wanna do with item outlines). next update is going to be a lot less focused on tweaking and setting up, and more on adding even more items, as well as mobs like pigs and sheep, to make em' feel better with the world!
Installation for players new to JAVA Minecraft: You will need to install "Optifine" for the latest version of Minecraft, which adds support for shaders, and all of their features. There are plenty of tutorials on YouTube or google, and installing is super simple!
(Check: PT Normals: Small Update (Wheat and grass fix) for instructions on SEUS PTGI, but for this post I'm focusing on Nostalgia 4.0)
To install, just google "Nostalgia shader", download the shader, and put it inside of your shaders folder via optifine. Once you've got it working there is a few changes you need to make to get it looking like the screen shot. (Sorry I could not link it, no matter what link I would use it would just end up leading me to a "Page not found" error.
Video Settings > Quality > Connected Textures (ON)
[this is for the glass to not have tiling outlines]
Video Settings > Shaders > Shader Options > Lighting > Indirect Light, And switch SSPT - ON, Long Rang SSPT - ON, Emission Lode: labPBR Only, and Indirect Lighting Res: 100%
[this is important for the glowing textures and items. The lighting res though just makes it less noisy, and look better]
Video Settings > Shaders > Shader Options > Terrain > Reflections, And switch Resource Pack Reflections: ON
[obviously so ya can get screen space reflections]
Also, for some of these images I've been using Complementary shaders.. While emissives don't give off lights, the textures are a lot more accurate to how they're supposed to look!
