This is just a text post to reveal that I've been working on a custom Sims 2 package editor:
Currently doesn't have an UI so it has to be run from the command line, however this will of course change in the future, both command line and UI options will be available.
Packages can be extracted into folders:
So currently you can extract a package, modify the contents in Windows and then package it again. The idea is to also add filenames for resources that have names and custom parsers to convert resources like BCON's and BHAV's into editable text files.
This could be cool for more advanced users as potentially you'd be able to have Github repositories for sims 2 mods with build scripts that automatically make the packages or automate package editing/extraction/creation things.
I'll be posting updates and hopefully beta builds in the future :)
