BLOG : BAD DAYS

I've personally had a pretty bad week! Its just been a lot of aggravatingly disappointing hard work with painting up the sculpture. And its been super tough dealing with a client and their freelance work!

Its' really put me in a bad mood and artist block at the moment. So much that tired gone back to basic and started on a drawing instead!

Do you ever get those days where you just think you're no good at what you do?  Lots of people say that all you need to do is take a break. But a content creator does not have that luxury! Our job is to create content not to take breaks from it!

It's tough and a real balance! I can totally see why a lot of people burn themselves out doing a Patreon! It's genuinely hard work. I hope that next week will be a more productive week!

Certainly I know I'm going to have to catch up on more work this weekend!

We'll see! Patreon is still an awkward platform for many followers to get into. Even though its perfect for my usage.

I know right? its like any kinda of work hour etiquette has gone out the window!

Every frickin' time! I've been working from home ever since our partial lockdown a few months ago and the problem is that people have little to no respect for personal time/space. We're expected to respond to requests and tasks well into the evenings and on the weekends. It was super stressful until I decided to put my foot down. Taking those short breaks are nice. But keeping healthy boundaries will definitely help you in the long run.

I kind of figured that was the case. Hand in there. I'm sure you can do this. They may be demanding or difficult, but you have talent and people that care about you. You'll win the day in the end!

Hmm I've considered it but truth be told i need the income so really taking a month off is too big a hit. But I feel a lot better now - i just gotta get past this weekend with a very tough client T_T

I'm pretty sure most of us would understand your needing to take a break. It's very hard to be always "on". I don't know how long you need to take a break, but some of the other people that I support on here have paused their subscription for a month while they caught up on their back log of work and/or they needed a break. Please take care of yourself.

You have as much right to a weekend break as anyone else.

I don't know if it helps, but the art looks great!

Hope things improve for you soon!
