I want to know what you think!

So I've noticed a trend over the past few months. I tend to lose some Patrons as it gets close to pay day, and then I gain more afterwards. Right now I run on monthly payments only, but there is an option to charge Patrons upfront to prevent people from scamming or taking advantage of me. Since we're a pretty small community and I know everyone pretty well, from what I can see no one is intending to take advantage of me at all and the people that leave are going for their own reasons and such. But it got me thinking about what it would be like if I had more Patrons and I didn't know people so well.
So I want to know what you guys think about charging upfront, what your experiences with it are or what you're thinking. I've been hesitant so far because I have some larger tiers $50 / $120 and I thought it might be scary or annoying to have charge upfront. So if someone pledged one of those tiers at the end of the month, they'd get charged when they pledge and also on the 1st and that's a little intense. I also can't change back once I've made the switch, so it's a huge decision and I'm not entirely sure on my own if it's the right one.
So, let me know what you think. I'm on the fence, but it might be a good idea eventually so I want your feedback. If you want to learn more about charge up front, here's their information page. https://support.patreon.com/hc/en-us/articles/210291283
Thank you so much!
