MC Notes: Recount 08 Election Day Part 2

The Finale! The end of Recount! Oh my god!

Okay a few quick thoughts and then I'll tell you about the seal song.

- I love Harmony and I won't apologize. 

- I've been bouncing the phrase "That's gonna scar you tacky bitch!" in my head for weeks! 

- Gwen and Anna not fighting because everything else is life or death?? *heart eyes* It's a shame they didn't interact more because every scene of them together was gold.

- If you listened closely to my opening monologues, I had been giving Jordan ritual site options for a while

- Angry Riri is my favourite Riri (next to British Accent Riri)

- Gwen saving Declan by yeeting him off a cliff!! *sobs*

- Jorie is always sitting on a CLUTCH secret move at the end of a season. No one knew she had Siren Song!!! I love her.

- When Eli listed all the strings Anna had, we all had our jaws on the floor. Her skirting death was so narratively perfect.

- The end is very bittersweet. Not a happy ending, and I don't think a happy ending would have been good for this story honestly. I cried listening to the very end of the episode with the seal song playing out over the ocean waves. 

Speaking of the Seal Song, I wrote and sang it! That's my voice! Jesse made a joke during our record about having to source magical seal music and I was like... I could probably make some? So I did. I sang-doodled in my bathtub until I had a melody I liked, then I rerecorded it, added harmony, and cranked the reverb up to 100%. I didn't know how exactly it would be used in the episode so I made the three different sections for the drama. Now you can listen to it on repeat and pretend you're a siren drowning a hoard of vampires!
