From a technical standpoint, this is exactly what it is! The water uses something called Dynamic Paint. The water is a canvas type and Triss and her partner are tagged as brushes! The waves rippling out of them are all automatically generated by the physics engine.

A work in progress of this week's coming release.
Lots of new tech has gone into this. I've done work on smoke simulations, high-polygon environment materials, glass caustics, and hair grooming (the hair here is VERY WIP, so don't mind the inaccuracy).

I've got a commission mostly finished but still need to write the story for it. It's a large set which was going to be released over two weeks (and still might be depending on if it's done).
If it does get done by next Friday, it'll come out in a 2-parter as planned. If not, it'll come out all in one before the end of the month and ahead of the public release.
