Hi Everyone - the first batch of copies of #3 arrived today! This has been my favourite cover so far, so was really excited to see it in print.

I'll be sending them out to the Taking the Cake Patrons at the start of next week, along with the sketchcards and prints.

Here are the pencils for page 5. Heading out to a Birthday meal now, otherwise I probably would have got further along. Glad I've finally got to Muffin and Maisie in these suits!

Here's a work in progress of page 4 - working out a way of drawing the trees in that second panel took me a long, long time which accounts for a bit of the delay.

I was also trying to work out an awkward angle for that fifth panel when I realised the joke would work better if we just closed into Torsade's face.

Should hopefully be done and dusted for tomorrow!

Side Plates have Arrived

Side Plates arrived today, so I'll begin posting things to Patrons towards the end of next week! This photo's just a promo thing I'm about to post on Instagram to drum up support.

Side Plates #1 - Print PDF

Firstly, I've amended the tiers so there's just two variants of a comic/print/sketchcard one. The multiple options were confusing and weren't sitting right with me throughout the day, so they must have been confusing you. I'd had a long day yesterday as well and probably shouldn't have been making any big decisions.

Stealth Maisie

I experimented with a few different looks for Maisie in stealth mode on that template I used for the last short and the two above were my favourite, with the one on the right being the ultimate winner. The mask works well under her big round glasses and her hair out of her face.

Part 5 - Bun on the Run

I’ve settled on the plan for part 5 now - and the title - so I’ll be able to begin as soon as I’ve done some preparatory sketches and stuff.

The first big scene is going to involve Muffin and Maisie sneaking about Red’s Mansion, so I’ve been having fun putting Muffin in black catsuits. Will work on Maisie’s stealth look next.
