Happy belated 6th birthday to Djinn! We were so busy last month, that we couldn't find the time to get Djinn some presents. But now we did!
We've also been practicing a new trick: waving! Now, Djinn can't stop doing it.

We had a nice covering of short-lasting snow in the south of our tiny country, so we made the quick decision to go on a road trip. After a night in the hotel, where Djinn was allowed on the bed with us, we woke up early and took him for a walk. The sightings were beautiful on one of the very few hills we have. It felt like we were in the mountains, video coming soon!

Yes, we finally had some snow! Djinn enjoyed playing in the white stuff again. But after a couple of minutes, he got cold feet and wanted to sit in mom's lap.

Evenings start early this time of the year, but that means extra long snuggle time with Djinn. He starts laying on his bed, but keeps on sliding more and more onto my shoulder. We visited the Christmas market and look who we met: Santa Claus was there!
We walked past all the Christmas lights and fires and sat in the sleigh. On to the North Pole! Maybe a bit too cold for Djinn.

Once every 3 months, it's Djinn's favorite day: the new worms arrive! I get him 1kg of morio worms (they are like big meal worms) and small portions of wax and silk worms (less easy to get).

Hey everyone,
Just wanted to let you know that Djinn is doing well. We had a rather late summer holiday on our boat. It was so nice having Djinn with us 24/7. He even slept with us in bed.
Life's difficult sometimes, but Djinn has stayed by our side. His company keeps us going.

We've been practicing a lot with fetch the mouse and think Djinn understandable the game. Isn't this the cutest thing ever?
We got a toy mouse which makes some kind of screaming sound. Quite terrifying. But Djinn absolutely loves it. He carries it around like it's his baby. Recently we figured out that he also likes to play fetch with it. Which is incredible, because we were never able to teach him to grab a toy and bring it back. Today we found a new beach alongside a river where we took Djinn for a long walk. It was beautiful sunny weather and we watched boats passing by. However, halfway through, Djinn thought it was way too warm. So we dipped his paws and belly into the water to cool him down.
We have a small boat ourselves, and will definitely come back here this summer.
Hope you've got some time and like this long video of Djinn. In September, we went a long weekend away to Valkenburg: a Dutch city famous of it's caves and castle ruins. We had a great time: going for walks, having nice dinners, visiting spooky places and having Djinn sleeping with us.

Do I need to tell Djinn that his whole life, he will be under the legal drinking age and cannot have wine?
I was waiting for him to knock over the bottle, but it seems like he knows how to maneuver around fragile stuff.
Since Djinn's Hooman nephew was a baby, they saw each other at parties and dinners. Djinn's nephew adores foxes and even recognizes fennec foxes from pictures. However, he was very precautious and didn't want to pet Djinn.... Until last Saturday!

Hi everybody, how are you doing?
Djinn is super sleepy lately, because our weather is still very winter-like. We're waiting until spring arrives and gives us some sunlight again. Now we have to ourselves with some candle lights.
On the 15th of March, Djinn turned 5 years old! We gave him a huge box full of treats, like turkey strips and chicken paws. I will upload the video soon!...
Found the cutest older video of Djinn during our holiday in August. We'd bought a pack of cinnamon cookies and sat by the water. While I took a bite, Djinn served himself as well. His little teeth crunched through the cookies quickly. After he was finished, he demanded that I protect him from the coastal winds.

Djinn plows through the snow, which is quite hard work for his tiny paws. We didn't had much snow this year, but for Djinn, it came up to his belly! Even with the hat, jacket and boots, we kept the walk short: Djinn plowed his way home very quickly.
