Noise Commander 0.0.15 release + tutorial video

The universal updater database usually needs a couple days to ingest a new version so I thought I'd make this a Patreon "early-exclusive" thing until then.

This is mostly a GUI-bugfix release, apologies about the previous version being almost unusable.

If NC crashes and disappears at startup

It's a bug related to the "/nc/recentplaylists" file.

You need to delete it to get around the bug, I apologize.

You can use FBI, the "3D Shell" app or any file manager app to delete it.

Login issues with the updater app

Some of you fresh paid members are not able to log in with your email address when attempting to install noise commander via the installer/updater app.

It's because the data is not coming through the Patreon API when my script is requesting it for a reason that I don't understand. It appears to affect about 20% to 30% of the paid users.

I am sorry if this is happening to you.

Hi, when I woke up this morning it dawned to me that users might run into an issue where they are still running the demo after installing the full version.

The reason is that the demo and full version are using the same ID and are considered the same by the system.

When you install a CIA file and the same version number (0.0.10) is already installed, it will quietly do nothin...

You can upload the cia-file to the "/nc/cia" directory via the "upload" function in noise commander and then install it by selecting it in the file browser and pressing A.

Alternatively the commonFBI app can be used to install it if needed.

Good news: The Noise Commander demo-version can now be installed from the universal updater! This app is most likely already installed on your system, so it's really easy!

This release is mostly adding probability features and generative sequencing.

This reminds me that NC really needs a playlist feature to organize tracks for mixing sessions.

At first I thought aligning the tempo like an ol-school DJ would be manageable but nope.
I found a convoluted solution to sync to other gear however :D
