Good news! Volume 1 of this fic is complete, as of today. I'll be essentially bingeing a little bit and creating a lore doc for myself over the weekend. The next arc will be an original one, and I've only read up to Vol. 7. I think that this is my best chapter yet. I'd go as far as to call it peak fiction. It's the culmination of this story's themes thus far. Even though there's one more chapter left in Volume 1, 99% of the plot threads get tied up here.
