Hi all, here's the latest from the summer in Greenland. While it might look sunny and nice in this one, don't be fooled. Right now it is actually snowing! As we woke up today there was couple centimetres of snow on the deck. I'll post some pics tomorrow!

Hi all, here's the latest summer adventure! We spent some time paddling and dragging our dinghy and paddleboards up a river, it was a fun and challenging trip. I also caught my first Arctic char! We now have a tent here at the boat and are planning to make use of it in the future as well...

We've been working the whole night to clear the lines of ice and we moved the boat a little bit, but here's a quick update. We still haven't made it completely out of here but we're pretty close now! ;)
The last bits of the spring and the ice break-up will be on the next 2-3 Youtube videos, I'll try and get the next one published on Saturday!

Here's a quick look at the bay and our situation just a few hours ago! We're close to open water but the ice is thick, no way to break through yet (although like I've said many times, we're not in a hurry).
This is currently around day #177 or #178 in this bay, not sure exactly. Sohvi has the exact count but she's sleeping already ;)

Hi all here's the latest from the boat, showing our technique (copied from the Finnish ice swimmers that use this to keep their swimming hole open) to keep the amount of ice a bit lighter at the stern of the boat.. along with a bit of skiing and other daily routines!

Hi, quick update from us here on Lumi. Today we had a fun event as a patron (Nils) did a fly-by as he was moving one of the bigger Air Greenland helicopters from Ilulissat to southern Greenland! Goes on to show that we have a crazy wide variety of people here among us :)

In this one we sail through the Bellot Strait and into the real iceberg territory. While in Alaska and most of Canada we only had the sea ice to deal with, for the last couple of legs of the NWP we're dodging icebergs that calve from the glaciers.
